Chris Armstrong Watch!

Okay, I understand if you feel I'm bias, but here is where I think your mom should be trolling:

Chris Armstrong Watch

Before you run off to do my evil bidding, I understand if a little background is in order. Christopher Armstrong was recently elected as the University of Michigan MSA President (Michigan Daily).

As a normal University of Michigan student, I had no idea about the outcome of the election. Heck, I didn't even know when elections were. It is enough for me that the MSA (Michigan Student Assembly, the central student govn't) elects people and that no one expects me to vote. In fact, I wouldn't expect the election to make any newspaper but the university's rag at all. It's relatively low key. However Chris is a known advocate for gay rights, as seen on his profile at the MSA website:
Chris Armstrong is currently a senior majoring in Sociology. Before becoming President of MSA, he served as the Chair of MSA’s LGBT Commission and an LSA Representative. In 2008, Chris was selected for an Outstanding New Member Award for his involvement with the Assembly and the LGBT Commission. On the Assembly, he has worked successfully toward bringing the 2011 Midwest Bisexual, Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, Ally College Conference to the University of Michigan. This past year, he facilitated a Project Community class focused on educating students about human rights. As a proud member of the Assembly, Chris has served on the Civil Liberties Board and the Student Relations Advisory Committee. He has also done Community Organizing work with federally subsidized housing unites in inner-city Detroit.
In fact, he is apparently the first openly gay MSA president in the University of Michigan's history. This seems to have riled Assistant Attorney General (former UofM grad) Andrew Shirvell way the hell up. Which is why he started a blog to "watch" Armstrong. Mostly by stalking his facebook page.

I have to say, it makes me damn ashamed he graduated from the same school as me. I think his blog could use a some fresh air. Go forth!
On the plus side, it seems like a lot of other people got there first:
